FINAL FANTASY DIMENSIONS App Reviews

So when I looked at the reviews and decided to play this game, I went ahead and bought the full game instead of the game in chunks. It was a classic Final Fantasy experience for me and was well written. I have personally put 71 plus hours into this game and all my characters are maxed out. This game towards the end amps up the difficulty level because the game expects you to have already learned all the mechanics of the game and will throw everything all you. Over all I think I have gotten my 14 dollars worth out of this game. This is a true Final Fantasy game and does not disappoints.

Dimensions plays like a 2d final fantasy from the Super Nintendo with an improved job system. The story is straight forward and there is very little exploration. While this would have been a con on a home console it is welcome on mobile because you can more easily put FFD and pick it up later. The job system is improved over other job based FF titles like tactics and FFV because each party member only has a limited number of total job levels. So you need to plan character progression. Also using an ability while having other abilities equipped had a chance of fusing them into a new f-ability. I wish FFV would have had this feature! My only complaint is that the controls frustrating. Although this does seem to be less of an issue over time.

Although the graphics look like final fantasy V, there is a very good job system in place. It is the best job system in all the final fantasy series, better than FFV and better than FFTactics. I enjoyed this game very much, it is perfect for mobile play as the gameplay is fast and touch friendly.

Not free to play

This is a real Final Fantasy game, well worth the $14 to buy the full set of chapters, which is much better than other games that pressure you to buy coins and crystals and other purchasing items. Anyone who thinks they are entitled to play a full Final Fantasy game for free are bad people. I really like the flipping between two parties. It allows you to fully enjoy the job advancement system without narrowing it down to your core party. While this isnt as good a story as VI, the gameplay is comparable.

There are a lot of bad Final Fantasy games in the AppStore, and there are a handful of great ones. This is one of the great ones.

Prologue review: Still working my way through the prologue but so far, as someone who grew up playing FF1-FF6, this is a dream on iOS. Brings back some wonderful memories but its a great game in its own right. Wonderful music and the battles are fun (a little easy so far but thats they way theyve always eased you into it). Overall, it really feels like your playing a retro Final Fantasy. If you loved the old ones, you love this. Try it; its free for the Prologue. If you like it then its $30 or you can buy a chapter at a time for a total of $34 (if I remember correctly). Update: 1/2017 Ive played my way half way through over the years (kids are time consuming) and now that I have a MFi controller (Steelseries Nimbus is highly recommended) Im hugely disappointed that this game doesnt support them. One last update Square Enix. Please!

I really enjoy this title. Ive never quite finished it, though. The main reason is because Square Enix has never added the ability to upload your saved game to iCloud. Id probably give a 5 star rating if they ever added cloud saving because thats really the only reason I docked them in the first place. Hopefully, its coming at some point. The day they add the ability to upload your saved game to the cloud is the day I write a full review and add the 5th star. 01/28/17

Man I wish I could give a thousand stars to this game. Its amazing! I think its the best Final Fantasy I played from Square Enix! The price is nothing compared to the quality of the app. It combined all the Final Fantasies from I to VI and turned into only one game, and its just amazing. Seeing bosses like Bikke and Omega Weapon again and characters like Matoya will certainly give you amazing hours of play. Not to talk about the Job System, dungeons, labyrinths, hidden bosses and the Job System. Its just like

I just loved the old FF and its agreat addition to the old titles. The prize absolutly fair. The problem that people are complaining about the prize is that most people are not aware how expensive the development of games. Therefor if you love the FFs and want to change the prize system in the appstore for the better, buy it.

Please, just release a proper remake of Final Fantasy 6 and charge 23 Euros for that... But for RPG Maker style graphics and crude game mechanics, christ! And 8 more for phony chiptune retro, cmon Square Enix nobody thinks FF is THAT cool! Edit: at least try to get line breaks right in a text driven game if you want any money for it...

I cant believe what SE is presenting here... 23 bucks for this kind of a game is ridiciulous!! You can get games for FREE which are much more better as any SE game nowadays... Where are the games like Secret Of Mana (1&2)?? Im just glad that this PROLOGUE was for free!! :) I definitely wont (&dont) update this "game"... Thanks to SE, all apps will get a higher price I guess... As the title above says, SE (Squaresoft) died in 1998... PS: There should be an option to give 0 stars!

The Game looks nice in the Retro style, but the missing line Breaks are annoying the Story and Handling are a mess. And for that its Way too much Money...its an iOS Game and no console...
